Our Information & Referral
category of services offers the following help for families.
The Center's Helpline
operates 8:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M., Monday through Friday,
12 months a year. We can give you the latest information on hundreds
of services provided by local public and private organizations and agencies
within Central Oregon. We can connect you with youth organizations,
volunteer opportunities, and information on support groups, housing,
health and employment programs, and where to get legal advice. We answer
thousands of calls each year.
The Community Resource Book is a printed directory
of services. The book is published once per year each fall, and is designed
to help families and professionals educate themselves on local resources.
The book contains a brief description of each resource, and includes
sections titled Child Care, Early Childhood, Family Access Networks,
Grief, Health, Housing, Legal, and many more. For convenience and
easy- to-find information, the book also includes a Table of Contents,
Agency Index, and Topic Index. Stop by our office and pick up a book,
or call the Center at 389-5468. The book is also available to review
or print at this website.
The Parent Library
is located in our office at 1130 NW Harriman Street in Bend. The library includes sections on subjects such
as Ages and Stages, Chemical Dependency, Divorce and Separation, Parenting,
Special Needs, and Teens. Staff are also available to help you with
your search for information. Stop by during the week between 8:30 A.M.
